Property Appraiser

About the Role:

Responsible for the full appraisal process, from initial document preparation and site visits to market research and final valuation. This includes:

  • Preparing documents, plotting routes, and calculating expenses for multiple assignments.
  • Conducting thorough property research, verifying location, neighborhood, and ownership using City/Municipal Assessor’s Office records.
  • Performing site measurements and ocular inspections, documenting neighborhood data (maps, landmarks, etc.).
  • Gathering market data via research and contacting brokers, agents, owners, and bank appraisers.
  • Determining fair market value using at least one of the three approaches to value (Market Data, Cost Approach, Income Approach).
  • Completing other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably or with minimum 1 year of experience in property appraisal.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Licensed Real Estate Appraiser (preferred).
  • Basic AutoCAD skills (preferred).
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word Excel, etc.)
  • Good moral character.
